Things to eat: Put beans in your salads

You can have salad everyday and never get tired of beans.  Beans such as black beans or chickpeas are full of protein and nutrients and of course fibre which is essential and lacking in most people’s diets.

For convenience, buy tins of beans, rinse them before using,  and pack into the fridge into a container so you have some handy to add to your salad with a different dressing every day.

I like to use blackbeans with some chili or jalapeños, you can then add a tin of corn and some chopped tomatoes.

You can mix a tin of chick peas with any chopped salad, add olives and tomatoes, lemon juice and some parsley for a mediterranean flavour.
