Avocado chocolate icing

It’s hard to find a healthy icing but this one contains cacao which does have a lot of antioxidants, so you can justify the glossy chocolatey flavour.

I have substituted frozen avocado for fresh – just use your judgement as to whether you have enough flesh in the mixture to get the final consistency to your taste.

Avocado chocolate icing

Ingredients

  • 1 large avocade
  • 80 ml maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 35 g raw cacao
  • 60 ml rice or almond milk

Instructions

  • Blend all the ingredients to a smooth texture using a blender or mixer. This will firm up in the fridge. Use for icing on a cool cake and let it set in the fridge.
